TOTALLY SPOILT!

Home :)
Hi so yes I know that I'm totally spoilt where I live, mind you it is miles from anywhere and we have a 5hr "dash" to the hospital if something happens to us or the boys.

That happened a couple of weeks ago, infact it was Australia Day...Lucas my oldest was complaining all day about a sore tummy so we did the normal things thinking it may be a virus or gastro....toilet, bath, shower, rest and all that again.  At around 6pm when hubby (Neil) walked in the door it was worse SO up to the medical centre to see the onsite nurse...wait for him to talk to GP in Carnarvon...."ok we agree you must drive to Geraldton Hospital...now"  YAY....not!

So we started out at 8.30pm...got there at 1.30am and by 3.30am all was ok with Lucas....nothing to be found!  Which is good but also bad cause if it comes back it could be worse and we could be driving home  aarr!  So we were given somewhere to sleep and then spent the day shopping and resting.

Long story I know but I will get to my point LOL!!

Anyway...I go into good ol' Spotlight to get some dress zips and a few other things for a friend and my youngest AJ (I only have 2 boys)  came running in saying...VERY EXCITED!!

"MUM WE FOUND A PADDLE BOARD DO YOU WANT IT???"  Ha still hasnt got the concept of money LOL!

" ok mate, I will have a look but we cant just get one...they are lots of money!" I say

"IT"S STILL ON SALE BUT FROM CHRISTMAS!"  ok so he may have a little bit of an idea about $$...SALE  = good buy! And those who know him know he is quite a loud child LOL!

So we go have a look and sure enough its on sale and quite a bit less that the ones I have been looking at online plus no postage costs ($120+ post cost).  I look at hubby...I have been wanting one for a year now...gave him THE LOOK... and got a "if you want it go for it" reply.......WOOHOOO!!!!
SO I have a stand up paddle board  10ft 3" Redback X-trainer and I LOVE IT!!

So why am I totally spoilt today....well I got to ride it for a whole hour, I paddled across from the town jetty to the second little shack on the beach...about 1km and back....saw lots of stingrays, fish, a turtle and small sharks...even had one following me about 20mts back...very cute!

Then I went down to whiting bay and had a good paddle around there too.  It is so peaceful to just have you and the ocean...the board making tiny sloshy sounds across the top and the paddle swishing in and out the water!  You done feel like your really doing any excercise but once I'm home..I start to feel it......need to stretch it out LOL!!!
Whiting Bay

Anyway now onto some more pattern drafting for the winter range!   It will be a busy winter I feel, I'm LOVIN' the creative bit of design but now it's down to the business bit!!
